Mastering
constructive conversation - 2-day
clinic for everyone
Conversations are core to what
all leaders do – the medium for leaders to inspire, influence,
motivate, solve problems, talk over issues, make decisions and take
action. The calibre of your conversations is a key indicator of
effective team functioning. Conversations are also the playing
field where leaders most visibly demonstrate their level of emotional
intelligence. Through conversations, leaders set the emotional tone
and build the relationships that ultimately determine the performance
culture of your workplace.
This 2-day practise-intensive
coaching clinic shows you how to engage people in more positive,
effective and constructive conversations; taking you through 7 key
Principles essential to build the conversational capability that can
strengthen your leadership approach. It
equips you with straightforward, practical tools and techniques to widen
the range of discussion tools you can deploy in different settings:
 |
Diagnose what you can do to get more out of
your conversations
|
 |
Move from destructive debate to constructive
dialogue/discussion
|
 |
Analyse your own conversational style and
how well it works for you
|
 |
Learn how to structure more constructive,
connective conversations and lead other people through them
|
 |
Practise new conversation skills and tools
like dialogue and skillful discussion
|

An
interactive 1-day seminar for non-supervisory STAFF
We
believe it’s just as important for staff as it is for leaders, to
understand and manage emotions and become more emotionally aware.
EI is the basis for building great teamwork and positive,
productive workplaces; raising levels of achievement, focus,
optimism, joy, purpose and perseverance – and decreasing
dysfunctional behaviour and performance drawbacks that set off
negative emotional chain-reactions and turn work climates toxic.
This
1-day down-to-earth, lively seminar shows staff what EI is, why it matters and
how to start applying basic EI tools and behaviours at work. Here’s
a fantastic way to give a boost to your staff’s motivation and
commitment levels not to mention improving the way they relate to you
and the rest of the team!
If you want to bring out the best in your staff you’ll want to
send them along to this stimulating seminar… After attending, your staff
should:
 |
Understand what EI is and the impact it
has on them, their relationships and their work ability |
 |
See how feelings influence job
satisfaction and their ability to get along well with others |
 |
Have some ideas on how to manage moods
better, how to control negative emotions, how to connect and interact better with others
|
 |
Deal better with those difficult people –
cantankerous colleagues, cranky customers, even overbearing bosses |
 |
Cope better with stress, pressure and the
demands of change |
What do staff say about this
stimulating, informative and interactive seminar?
“EI at Work
was awesome….A great learning experience that everyone should partake
in.” Kyle Leary,
Qld Health
“A worthwhile
course applicable to any profession. Course content excellent and very
applicable to my work.”
Mary Cataldo, Disability Services Qld
