Emotional Intelligence Clinics for Leaders & Teams... & In-House on request

Hi – Bill Cropper here with a reminder about EI coaching clinics we have coming up in Cairns and Townsville soon.  Also attached is our latest E-NEWS which looks at toxic emotions and coping with caustic conversations. A new 1-day seminar on this topic – Handling Toxic Emotions at Work – will be launched early next year (flyer download link opposite). We'll be running this clinic in locations where sufficient interest is expressed.  So please let us know if you'd be interested in coming along to a Cairns or Townsville clinic...

Those of you who’ve been along to my clinics, know I take a practical, tool-kit type approach backed up by some seriously useful self-coaching guides to support you applying the tools back at work. Hope you can join us at one of these events soon and if not, perhaps you have colleagues or staff who’d like to. And yes – we do run all our coaching clinics in-house if you'd like your whole team to be able to participate!  Cheers, Bill

Handling Toxic Emotions at Work

Special 1-day clinic on stress-survival skills for coping with caustic conversations at work

Why Emotional Intelligence Matters…

Emotions matter for good leadership, good work and good teams. They affect how we think, how we lead, how we cope with change and stress, how well we work together, how motivated, satisfied and effective we are. Emotional skills like connectivity and empathy are critical to work, leadership and life success – to raising levels of focus, purpose, optimism and joy; insulating ourselves from the ill-effects of toxic work cultures; and building positive, productive workplaces.

These skills can be learned and that’s what Change Forum coaching clinics do – equip people to learn how to be better leaders and team-players, to build vibrant work cultures and bring out the best in themselves and their teams.  Read more

We believe it’s just as important for staff as it is for leaders to understand and manage emotions at work. EI is the basis for building great teamwork and improving levels of achievement; and it helps decrease dysfunctional behaviours and performance drawbacks that set off negative emotional chain-reactions, drain energy and turn teams toxic. EI isn’t only indispensable for successful work, it’s indispensable for leading a successful life!

Handling Toxic Emotions at Work

~ Inviting Expressions of Interest for 2010 ~ TOWNSVILLE & CAIRNS

A 1-day seminar on essential stress-survival skills to cope with caustic conversations, corrosive characters and toxic workplaces

Caustic conversations and toxic emotions infect most workplaces. They kill-off trust, ruin relationships, undermine work cultures and cripple teams. Apart from rage, resentment, resignations, frustration, blame and absenteeism, they play havoc with our health, stress levels and well-being, poison our sense of purpose, rob us of resilience, drain energy and disrupt our work focus.

This penetrating 1-day seminar shows you essential stress-survival skills to combat caustic conversations; insulate yourself and build resilience; handle aggression, hostility and other types of toxic behaviour; deal better with your own disruptive feelings; maintain emotional balance and manage your stress levels.

Extending the learning... Improving our own team or workplace culture is a great place to start but real change is better achieved when the whole working community  participates, so it's really helpful to let people in other workplaces and organisations know about improvement opportunities on offer in their region. Your help in sharing information about our activities and programs with staff, colleagues, associates and your wider management, HR and regional networks is always greatly appreciated...
