R-E-S-P-E-C-T find out what it means to me. Thats how the old Aretha Franklin song goes! Shes right. We all have very different ideas about what respectful behaviour looks like. Its the currency of leadership, were told, but how hard is it to harvest in workplaces?

Respect-building "just a little bit"

Most teams put respect amongst their top 10 values and lack of it as one their main bugbears. Its fleeting yet critical for good relationships, great teamwork and connective conversations. Rumblings about disrespect reverberate repeatedly around workplaces. Codes of conduct implore us to treat others respectfully but the sad part is many of us just dont see how were being disrespectful. Disrespect fuels caustic conversations and toxic emotions that infect most workplaces, killing-off trust, ruining relationships and corroding connectivity. To work better together, we all need to be on the same page about what respectful behaviour is...

Bill Croppers been helping organisations with teamwork-based design, team-building, and team facilitation since the early 1990s. Hes trained a legion of teams, team leaders and facilitators in team formation and team-improvement practices. In addition to his scheduled series of public programs, Bill regularly runs tailored team-building and team design workshops under the banner of Working Better Together for work teams wanting to build more positive team culture, harness commitment to shared visions, handle conflict constructively and build more emotionally positive team climates.

Come along to this session to collect respect-building tips and exchange ideas with others about what positive actions and strategies you can employ to instil a little bit more respect into your personal interactions, work-teams and culture. Topics well touch on include:
